In school, in our English class, we have discussed the topic regarding preposition. From its definition, prepositions are short words (on, in, to) that usually come before nouns (sometimes also in front of gerund verbs). Prepositions are important because they work to connect various parts of a sentence. Prepositions tell us where something is in relation to something else or how things are related in space —in, on, to, with, over, under, onto, into or beside. Others show physical connections or possession between nouns or pronouns and another word such as of, with, by. Some refer to relationships in time: while, during, after, until, before, since. Well, with regard to this article, as a young student, I am not well-versed speaking Mandarin or any other language, but I am interested to learn this, too.
Prepositions are important to sentences as they deliver extra and essential information. The class of 1st Nov will explore the fundamentals and classification of the preposition.
